We're just days away from the application deadline for the next class of South Dakota Highway Patrol officers.

According to Highway Patrol Superintendent Col. Rick Miller the Patrol is focusing on recruiting specifically those who already are certified law enforcement officers. This is a fast-track academy to reduce the amount of classroom and field training time as a way to avoid training redundancy.

South Dakota is proud to have law enforcement officers who love their industry and serving the people to keep everyone safe.

If you would like to become part of the Class of 64 the application closing date is Monday, April 27. The job posting can be found here: https://dps.sd.gov/safety-enforcement/highway-patrol.
