The Public Affairs Officer for Homeland Security Investigations says a tip lead to the arrest of Garretson school district administrator Rodney Fischer.

Shawn Neudauer says the charge is felony solicitation of a minor.

"One of our officers on the west coast had information about the person in Sioux Falls during another investigation. He then turned the lead over to our office who basically picked up the reins and ran with it from there working with state and local law enforcement agencies to take that person into custody."

Neudauer is asking the public's help as the investigation continues.

"If anybody has had contact with that individual or think they have had contact---or their kids having contact---please reach out to us or other law enforcement agencies and let us know."

Neudauer says this type of crime is much too common.

"We have seen growing trends in the past several years. One of the biggest things we would like to do is to let the public know we are here. We are very good at what we do We will work with everybody to stop this as much as we can."

Aside from Homeland Security Investigations, a number of agencies, including the Minnehaha County Sheriff's office are working together on this case.
