Hot Harley Nights Celebrates 20 Years of Giving in Sioux Falls
What began as a small get together to raise money for a great cause has grown into one of the premier events in the Upper Midwest. Hot Harley Nights is back celebrating its' 20th year July 9-12 in Sioux Falls.
One of the highlights of the 4-day event is the police-escorted motorcycle parade led by Make-A-Wish® kids leaving from J&L riding through Sioux Falls and Historic Downtown. Click here for the 2015 Parade Route Map.
Register for the ride here.
The event, which has raised more than $2 million for Make A Wish of South Dakota, was the brainchild of Jim and Lonnie Entenman of J&L Harley Davidson back in 1995.
I recently had a chance to talk with Jim and Char Roth from J&L Harley about the 2015 Hot Harley nights. Some of the highlights:
- The event has grown from about 250 people the first year to close to 40,000 in 2014.
- Not only is this the 20th Hot Harley Nights, it is also the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and the 40th anniversary of J&L Harley.
- The early registration for this year's Hot Harley Nights is May 30. That gets you access to a dealer run, which is new this year.
- A 2015 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Low is being raffled off. Tickets are $25 or five for $100.
