Iowa State Fair to Raise Admission Price in 2020

It will cost you a little more to get through the gate to ride the tilt a whirl this year at the Iowa State Fair.

Our friends over in the Hawkeye State are jacking up the cost to attend their State Fair in 2020.

KSFY TV is reporting that people planning on attending the Iowa State Fair can expect to pay $14.00 at the gate this year, compared to the $12.00 admission price charged in 2019. Tickets for children ages 6 to 11 will also see a bump to $8.00 up from $6.00 last year.

You can save one dollar, however, if you choose to purchase your tickets in advance. Advance admission tickets for adults can be had for $9.00 and $5.00 for children ages 6 to 11.

Kids 5 and under still will get in free.

According to KSFY, there will also be ticket discounts on some days for certain groups, including Older Iowans Day on (August 19.)

The Iowa State Fair runs for a total of 10 days. This year's fair is scheduled for (August 13-23) in Des Moines.
