Journey Will Not Pass Up $500,000

How much would someone have to pay you to play a Mitt Romney campaign event?  For the band Journey, the magic number is $500,000!

A group called the American Action Network hired Journey for 500,000 smackeroos to play a 90-minute set at a private fundraising party in Tampa, FL on Thursday night while the Republican National Convention is in town.

Sources tell TMZ.com that Journey is NOT making a political statement by accepting the offer and made it clear - it's just another gig.
