New Year's resolutions, heaven knows there's a bunch of them that a person can make. If one of your resolutions this year was to kick the habit, all you need to do is just get through today!

That's right, if you are one of the 56% of smokers in the U.S. that decided you're finally going to quit smoking once and for all in 2014 and you still are going strong today, (January 8th), good news, you just need to make it through today and you have a real chance of making that resolution finally stick!

Every year, millions of smokers decide they're going to quit smoking for the New Year. Some quit cold turkey; others try and wean themselves off. And every year, January 8th comes along and torpedoes their dream!

According to research, the 8th day of an attempt to quit smoking is the absolute hardest.

Stay strong, when a nic-fit comes on, reference a list of reasons why you decided to quit smoking, buy some lemon drops or do whatever it takes to help you suppress you’re craving for a smoke and just make it through today!

By the way, according to Forbes.com, only 8% of people keep their resolution, whatever it is. Here's your chance to be one of the 8%!
