UPDATE: There has been a confirmed death of a 15-year-old due to the accident. He was a student who attended Lincoln High School. A letter has been sent out to notify his parents of this tragic news.

Very icy roads all around Sioux Falls Tuesday night into Wednesday morning are causing driving concerns. The Minnehaha County Sheriffs Department is warning to drive slowly as many accidents have occurred around the area.

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader is reporting that one person died Tuesday night and one was injured in a rollover car crash on Interstate 229 north of the 26th Street exit.

The car crash was reported around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Big Sioux River bridge. A portion of I-229 was closed down for almost three hours as authorities cleared the scene. The crash is under investigation.
