We've already seen it happen to the cancelled-too-soon series 'Veronica Mars,' so could 'Pretty Little Liars' get a movie on the big screen to finish off the series?

Read on to find out the answer!

According to show-runner and executive producer Marlene King, the hopes and dreams of the writing staff include wrapping up the series (after a network finale) with a movie on the silver screen!

As she told E! News, "That's always been the ultimate goal, is that it ends its life in one medium and starts another life on film. I love that."

"Oh we want an in-theaters film! Big, big, big opening weekend, with all those 'Pretty Little Liars' fans are coming out," she went on to explain. "It would be so much fun. And we'd get to do so much like big stuff too."

If the staff's dreams come true, not only would it most likely mean a bigger budget for the series, but also a little wiggle room, ratings wise. After all, even PG-13 films get to drop one non-sexual use of the F-word.

Suffice it to say, a 'Pretty Little Liars' film would be beyond amazing!

The television form of 'PLL' returns to the small screen on Tuesday, June 10 at 8PM ET on ABC Family.
