The Sioux Falls Humane Society has been the human voice for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals in this area for 100 years. They work diligently to provide tender loving care to animals in search of forever homes.

They labor equally hard to educate people about everything involved in owning and caring for an animal in the hope that fewer of them will become residents at the shelter.

It costs a lot to accomplish these goals, and because our Sioux Falls Area Humane Society (SFAHS) is not associated with any national pet organizations, it receives no city, state, or federal aid. It truly is a community-funded venture. That is where we all come in.

The annual Tinsel & Tails Holiday Craft Fair and Bake Sale is coming up on Saturday, December 7, from 11 AM to 5 PM at the SFAHS (3720 E. Benson Road) in the education classroom.

You'll find an amazing display of delicious baked goods, and craft items created by community members, which focus on winter, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years.

If you need more information or would like to donate items, see the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society online, on Facebook, or call Allison Wyant 605-338-4441, ext. 108.
