Sioux Falls Police were called to the scene of a stabbing early Sunday morning in the central part of Sioux Falls.

KDLT TV is reporting the incident took place in an apartment building at South 1st Avenue and East 15th Street around 4:00 AM on Sunday, March 5.

When authorities arrived, they discovered a 27-year-old Sioux Falls man with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

An investigation into the incident led Sioux Falls Police to arrest 25-year-old Brady Richard Holter, also of Sioux Falls. Holter was arrested, and charged with 2nd Degree Murder and 1st degree Manslaughter.

According to authorities, both the victim and Holter knew each other, and narcotics are believed to be a factor in the stabbing.

Sioux Falls Police plan to release further information regarding this incident during the Monday morning, March 6 media briefing.
