Police are looking for two people responsible for robbing a Sioux Falls man at gunpoint inside his own home on Tuesday night.

KSFY TV is reporting the armed robbery took place around 9:00 PM on Tuesday (November 19) in an apartment located in the 1000 block of South Duluth Avenue.

According to the report, the 33-year-old victim received a knock at his door from a woman he knew. Sioux Falls police spokesman Sam Clemens told KSFY, the victim let the woman inside his home. Once she entered the apartment, she began to act suspicious, walking around from room to room looking to see if anyone else might be inside the home.

The woman then asked the victim if anyone else was inside the apartment, once he replied no, she opened the front door, and an unknown man with a gun appeared and asked the victim for cash. Upon taking the victim's wallet, the robbery suspect hit the victim in the head with his firearm.

KSFY reports that both suspects fled the scene moments later with the wallet of the victim in what appeared to be a black SUV.

The victim was eventually taken to a Sioux Falls hospital for treatment to a minor cut on his head.
