It's the first Some Like It Pop podcast of 2017, and we've already got plenty to talk about: First up, a (listener-requested!) chat on the future of Fifth Harmony. The group's become a foursome following Camila Cabello's departure in December — and though Lauren, Normani, Dinah Jane and Ally are slowly emerging with solo efforts of their own, the artists formerly known as LYLAS are still locked in for album number three later this year. Like noted Harmonizer John Mayer, we're rooting for the "Work From Home" singers.

Then, onto a New Year's eve spectacle that's still making headlines: Mariah Carey's puzzling Dick Clark New Year's Rockin' Eve performance, in which a lip sync fail turned into a feather-festooned amble around the stage. Who's fault was it? And does the mishap tarnish Carey's legacy, or is that very notion insulting to a decades-long career in performing and songwriting?
