Dakota News Now is now reporting that Governor Noem's office has announced that our state has broken a record for the lowest unemployment rate in the country.
South Dakota's June unemployment rate was 1.8%, which is the lowest in United States history.
South Dakota's Labor Secretary, Marcia Hultman, was quoted by Dakota News Now as saying, "Unemployment in South Dakota is the lowest that this country has ever seen". She also credited the governor's new workforce campaign for attracting more workers to the state.
