A lot has changed in the music industry over the years as technology continues to evolve. But one element that remains a constant in the business is every act's desire to acquire one key thing: a record contract.

There are plenty of bands out there still looking to ink a deal and the website AltPress is highlighting 50 of them with their list of the best unsigned bands in each state in America.

Their choice for South Dakota is a Sioux Falls-based trio, Skin Of Our Teeth.

Just last month, (June 16), this self-described 'heavy stoner-rock band' released the single 'Heavy Hitter' from their forthcoming album, Ablation.

The video for the song was shot by Sioux Falls-based Anthony Begley Productions and features interiors from the 81 Arcade Bar in Downtown Sioux Falls.

Earlier this year (May 1), Skin Of Our Teeth released the single 'Abattoir Acres'.

The group, which consists of vocalist Zeb Anderson, drummer Kamp Kirsch, and guitarist Xavier Pastrano has already released a pair of other albums in the past three years - God of the Gaps in February 2019 and Omnicide in July of 2017.

They list their influences as Witch, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Fuzz, Probot, Elvis Costello, Royal Blood, Death From Above 1979, Rage Against The Machine, and Queens of The Stone Age.

While the band is waiting to sign a record deal, you can purchase their music through the Bandcamp website.
