News from Hollywood says that Warner Brothers and DC Comics have a new Joker movie in the works, but it WON'T star Jared Leto, who played him in "Suicide Squad".

Hollywood Reporter says, "Warner Bros. has tapped The Hangover filmmaker Todd Phillips to co-write and possibly direct an origin movie." Martin Scorsese has also been reported to help produce it.

Apparently this movie will stand apart from the big, interconnected universe that includes "Batman v. Superman," "Wonder Woman," and "Justice League."

NO word on who will be playing the iconic "Joker" character in the movie. Only other details say that the movie will be set in the 1980's.
