The movie "Dirty Dancing" opened up in theaters back in August of 1987 with a budget of $6 million. The movie was an instant hit at the box office, raking in $214 million and it was the first film to sell more than a million copies for home video.

The movie was actually filmed at a real resort and you can totally visit in person and stay there. Here's the deal, with Dirty Dancing's The Kellerman Resort, was in upstate New York, the real resort is called Mountain Lake Hotel. The Mountain Lake Hotel is located in Pembroke, Virginia. Producers chose the relatively unknown resort as their location because it fit in the film's low production budget.

The resort is still running today and even hosts three Dirty Dancing themed weekend every year. You can even stay in the same cabin Baby spent the summer in, as well. So book your reservation now and get ready to have the time of your life!
