Apple was giving away U2's Songs of Innocence album on iTunes. What no one knew was that they weren't so much "giving" it away as they were "forcing" it upon us.

The album likely showed up on your iPhone or iPad mysteriously, as it did on my iPad.

The worst part is that you cannot delete the album from your device without paying $25. Why? Apple distributed it through the iCloud. The only way to delete music from the iCloud is to pay for Apple's iTunes Match service. Nice.

You can hide it from your library, if the album files were not downloaded to your device. Turn off the "Show All Music" setting in Music and it will go away.

Twitter is losing it's collective mind over the U2 invasion. Here are just a handful of my favorite Twitter tweets.
