It's time the Minnesota Vikings cut their loss with wide receiver Mike Wallace and save themselves some money next season, $11.5 million to be exact.

Wallace is going into his 4th year of his 5th year $60 million deal signed back in 2013 with the Miami Dolphins. Minnesota acquired Wallace for just a 5th round pick in 2015 after Miami wanted to save cap space and move Wallace's outspoken personality.

The Vikings didn't have to deal with Wallace's vocal attitude last season but they dealt with his lack of production. Last season he only hauled in 39 receptions for 473 yards and 2 touchdowns but was held without a catch longer than 35 yards.

Minnesota should dump Wallace and save themselves $11.5 million in cap space for other needs. Stefon Diggs, Kyle Rudolph and Jarius Wright can easily pick up the workload that Wallace had last season.

The Vikings are already about $20 million under the cap but need to go out and find some help along the offensive-line, outside linebacker and defensive back. Cutting Wallace would open that cap space up to $30 million and would help them pursue help in other areas of need.
