From First Alert Weather Center Meteorologist Tyler Roney

Colder temperatures have arrived behind a cold front and as a result, the wind is much stronger. Highs on Thursday will only get into the 40's. For Friday, a mix of sun and clouds are on the way as temperatures return to the 50's for the area along with some locations further west like Pierre getting to 60 degrees.

For Easter weekend, our weather will get active once more. A stronger system will move into the Midwest beginning Saturday morning and will bring some rainfall back to the area along with some snowfall as well. The best chances for snowfall accumulation will generally be in western and central South Dakota with little to no accumulations across northern South Dakota and really areas along I-90 either.

Rain will turn into snowfall in the Sioux Falls area Saturday night and into Sunday morning. The trend is keeping the higher accumulations on Easter Sunday to the south and east of our area. Temperatures will take a hit though and only get into the '40s on Easter Sunday and only get to the upper 30's on Monday.
