On a recent solo camping trip to Big Stone Lake State Park I cooked up one of my favorite 'go-to' campsite recipes.

I call it "Sunset Hash" since it seems that about every time I've fried this concoction up it's been on some camp stove or fire grate around sundown.

It's simple, tasty, and always brings back memories of quiet wilderness suppers.  Here's all you have to mix up:

-Diced Potatoes
-Diced Onion
-Diced jalapeno (If ya like a little heat)
-Sliced Bratwurst (I use venison brats)
-Salt & Pepper to taste

I simply put a little water in the bottom of the pan.  Start browning the Brats.  When the water boils off and the brats create some grease in the bottom of the pan I throw in all the rest of the stuff.

Toss it around until the potatoes and other stuff is golden brown and it's ready to go.  Served best with a nice chilled IPA and a lakeside view.

What is your favorite campsite 'Go-To' meal.  You know, one you've made a number of times that reminds you of great times in the great outdoors?
