Is it really possible for a person to shower wrong?

Supposedly yes. And there's a very good chance you're doing it.

Good Housekeeping has come up with the most common mistakes the average person makes in the shower each day. Time to see how many of them you are guilty of.

Not replacing your loofah often enough. If you use a loofah, you should be buying a new one once a month. Same thing goes for your washcloth. If you're using that rag more than three or four times before tossing it in the laundry, you're doing it wrong!

You exfoliate every day. Stop it! Over-scrubbing actually makes your skin produce more oil, which traps more dirt and bacteria. Ideally, you should only use exfoliating soap once or twice a week.

If you brush your teeth in the shower, chances are you're not brushing long enough because you're too busy multitasking. Time to go back to the sink and brush for a full two minutes.

You're using super-hot water. Excessively hot water can dry out your skin. That's why you're suppose to take a warm shower, not a hot one.

And did you know, you shouldn't be washing your hair every day?

Washing your scalp on a daily basis overcompensates by producing too much oil, and your hair ends up looking oily all the time. They recommend you only wash your hair every other day, or even every three days.  Yeah, I know, gross right?

Even if I still had hair, I wouldn't follow that rule!
