Why Isn’t Little Mix a Bigger Deal in the United States?
Seriously though? Little Mix does not get the respect they deserve here in the States.
For those of you that don't know, Little Mix is a girl group put together on The X Factor over in the UK. Back in 2011, it was the eighth season of The X Factor. They were actually the first group to ever win the show!
Simon Cowell put them together just like One Direction. And yet, Little Mix has not had the same success here in America.
Little Mix was basically the original Fifth Harmony. However, unlike Fifth Harmony, Little Mix is still together and going strong.
Little Mix is made up of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson.
Perrie Edwards was engaged to Zayn Malik from One Direction. They broke up in 2015.
Little Mix has had five albums and countless hit singles including but not limited to "Wings," "Black Magic," "Shoutout to My Ex" (rumored to be about Malik), "Move," "Salute," "Only You," "Touch," "No More Sad Songs," "Woman Like Me," and "Secret Love Song."
According to Wikipedia they have won many awards, "two Brit Awards, three MTV Europe Music Awards, three BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, three Glamour Awards, five Global Music Awards, two Japanese Gold Disc Awards, two Teen Choice Awards, one Radio Disney Music Award, one iHeartRadio Music Award, and one O2 Silver Clef award."
Plus, they are always awesome live! Evidence below!
Seriously, take a second to check out a couple of my favorite songs/music videos and just try to deny their awesomeness!
