For the music lover who has everything, there is Vinyl Afterlife.

This weekend I went to the Autumn Arts and Crafts Affair at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. I love looking at the fun fall and Christmas decorations and trying all the great food samples. The booth with my favorite fudge wasn't there this year, but I did get some delicious dessert dip packages.

There are always so many unique creations, but something I saw this weekend was like something I'd never seen before. There was a booth called Vinyl Afterlife. Old album covers are made into sketch books. I've been a music lover since I was just a little spud. I would listen to my sister's Fleetwood Mac Rumours album, Chicago V, and Grease Soundtrack. Becoming a radio D.J. just seemed natural. I love any type of artwork that represents music, whether it be musical notes or musical instruments, throwback posters or old microphones. I absolutely loved the sketch book idea. These would make great gifts for music lovers. (hint hint to the family member who gets my name for Christmas)

I had a chance to meet the owner and he said that there is a record store in the Cities that will save him the album covers of albums that are too scratched up to sell. Some of the sketch pads for sale included Sir Mix-A-Lot Mack Daddy, Fleetwood Mac Rumors and Hank Williams Jr. He had a wide variety of all musical tastes.

He also uses old VHS covers to make sketch pads and the center of the album to make coasters.

If I could've found a Slippery When Wet or Working Class Dog album cover sketch pad, we would've had a sale. He did say that if I was able to find those covers, he could make one.

If you're looking for a cool gift for you or someone else, you need to check this guy out. This is his Facebook page and this is his website. And, depending on when you're reading this, you can catch him Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
